Most of the fairs and shows I know about I discovered through word of mouth. That is one reason we list events at www.beadsocietyofnewhampshire.org. People feed me information, and I try and post it as soon as possible.

This is more of a question than a comment.
I was fortunate enough to have been involved in the First Annual Strawbery Banke Fall Harvest Festival this week end. We had beautiful weather and a good crowd. I had seen the call for artists on the NH Made website.
I was wondering how other jewelry/bead artists found out about places they can sell there products, far enough in advance to be able to take advantage. I feel sometimes I am a day late and a dollar short.
I have only been doing shows for a little over 2 years and started because a friend told me about one. If it had not been for that I don't know where I would be.

Gail Devoid will be presenting different FRINGE techniques at our October
12th meeting

You will need needle, thread, seed beads, bugle bead, drops
or daggers, larger beads (maybe 5 mm), graph paper, and a sample piece of bead work to which you would attach fringe. You might even want to bring a few different pieces of beadwork. For example you might want to bring a piece of peyote, brick stitch, RAW, or loom work.

We'll discuss fringe in the Native American style, kinky fringe, twisted fringe, laying out a design, netted fringe, and how to use stones, bugle beads and larger beads in your fringe design.
